"It is the most intelligent AI in the world." With this phrase Elon Musk presented his new artificial intelligence model, Grok 4, which arrives only five months after his predecessor, Grok 3 was released.
The XAI artificial intelligence company, whose owner is the tycoon who also has the social network X, has launched the one, according to independent analysts, is an AI "with more level than any doctorate."
Grok is currently integrated into the social network X (formerly known as Twitter) and users have become accustomed to using the free model to, among other things, check the veracity of the news published on the social network.
But Grok 4 is much more than that. It is XAI's response to the latest artificial intelligence models developed by OpenAI and Google, which allow analyzing images and maintaining conversations taking into account the context of the situation. This model wants to compete directly with GPT-5, the model that OpenAi is developing and is expected to be launched in late summer.
Grok 4 has two versions: on the one hand, Grok 4 and another Grok 4 Heavywhich is a "multiagente" variant, in which before any issue several agents are generated in parallel to solve the question, and finally compares all the results generated and stays with the best option.
This allows multiplying Grok's performance and minimizes errors, according to Elon Musk, which considers his AI as the smartest in the world. To ratify his superiority he showed a report from the Benchmark Humanity's Last Exam. In it, by answering thousands of questions from different disciplinesGrok 4 would have obtained a score of 25.4%, above 21.6% of GEMINI 2.5 Pro from Google and 21% of Openai's O-3 model.
This has generated high expectations with respect to Grok 4, which has also approved with note various independent analysis. At the moment, to test Grok 4 Heavy the only option is the new subscription plan that XAI has launched, under the name of Supergrok Heavy. In it, for $ 300 per month you have anticipated access to Grok 4 Heavy.
For its part, Grok 4 will be available via API so that developers can use it in their applications.
As a curiosity, it should be noted that, apparently, Grok 4 uses as a source of information the posts of Elon Musk themselves in the social network when offering certain answers. That is why he could be offering partial content in terms of political or controversial issues.
