When encountering a post or comments on LinkedIn in a language other than your native or usual language, if you don't know what it says, you can use the automatic translation function of the social network, which is available in more than 60 languages.
LinkedIn machine translation uses technology from Microsoft Text Analytics API to facilitate the understanding of texts and preserve professional relationships between users of different dialects. To use it, you must define the language with which you want to manage your LinkedIn account and, once done, a «see translation» below each post or each comment written in a language different from the one selected.
The functionality is available for the desktop and mobile versions of LinkedIn and if you want to know how it works, here is a step-by-step guide of what you need to do.
How to use automatic translation on LinkedIn
To select the language of use for your LinkedIn account and for automatic translation to take effect, you must change a setting in your account or on your phone.
It depends on where you make the change: if it is on the desktop version you must use your LinkedIn profile settings; but if you do it from your mobile, both on iOS and Android, you must use the phone's own settings. Here you have detailed steps to follow on each device:
The web version of LinkedIn
-Enter your LinkedIn account, press where it says "Me", right on the profile photo located in the upper right corner of the screen.

-Enter "Settings and privacy", in the "General preferences" section select "Languages".

-Choose the language with which you want to manage your LinkedIn account.

-Now go to your LinkedIn profile and look for a post or comment written in another language and you will see the "See translation" button below.

On Android

-Go to the settings of your mobile device, in the app identified with a gear wheel icon.
-Enter “System” and then go to “Languages”.
-In "Application languages" locate LinkedIn and select the language with which you want to manage your account.
The location of this section may vary depending on your mobile device, so you can always use the internal search engine in the Android settings and enter "App language" or "languages" to try to get directly to the option.
On iOS

-Enter the settings of your mobile device and go to the "Applications" section.
-From the list of apps you have, select "LinkedIn".
-Enter "Preferred language", go to "Language" and select the language with which you want to manage your social network.
