The Spotify algorithm fulfills an important function: offering the user content that adapts to their tastes so that they spend more time within the application. Likewise, through the analysis of statistical data and current trends, it can recommend songs that are trendy in the area where the user lives or that their friends like.
However, despite how useful it is, Spotify's algorithm is not perfect... And it is not strange that the platform recommends music that has nothing to do with what you like, which can be annoying.
Therefore, if the app is randomly playing some tracks that you dislike, don't worry, in this article you will learn how to eradicate them completely so that you never hear them again.
Steps to delete songs from the Spotify algorithm
Before starting, it is important that you know that this is a new feature that is gradually reaching users around the world. Therefore, it is crucial that you update the application to its latest version (9.0.84.1340) and, if you do not have the tool available yet, it is just a matter of waiting a few days for it to be enabled. Taking the above into account, the procedure is as follows:
– Enter the Spotify app, search for the song you want to delete and touch the three vertical dots located in the upper right corner.

– Now, lower the cursor a little and select the option called “Exclude track from your taste profile.” That's all you have to do, now Spotify will remove the song in question from the algorithm so as not to recommend or play it when you use the AI. With this simple function the platform will stay true to what you really like.
